'I had a fantastic four days at the Textile Studio summer school. It was great to explore a different printing technique each day and take inspiration from not only the beautiful surroundings of the New Forest, but also the amazing selection of books, vintage fabrics and pottery in the studio! I left the course feeling very inspired to make more!'

'The Studio is in a lovely location and very well equipped with big tables for printing and a large, interesting selection of printing blocks. I enjoyed my weekend of learning the basics of mixing dyes and creating repeat patterns on a variety of different types of fabrics. Caroline was constantly on hand and very generous with her expert advice throughout the weekend. Nice lunches too!'

'Having thoroughly enjoyed the Indian woodblock printing course with Caroline earlier in the year I was delighted when she said she was available to visit the school where I teach and to lead a workshop with Year 7 children. They spent the day learning about the history of the blocks before inking them up and testing them out. The children thoroughly enjoyed the using the intricate patterns of the blocks to create striking designs in a short period of time. Once confident they moved on to creating sections of what was to become a large wall hanging on the Taj Mahal to tie in with our project on India. Caroline had brought along a wide range of embellishments which were stuck onto their work with delight, creating a truly striking piece of work which the school continue to enjoy looking at.'

'I attended one of Caroline Pitcher's woodblock courses last year and had a thoroughly enjoyable day. Her large studio, set in delightful surroundings on the edge of the New Forest, is light and attractive and full of lots of lovely things. We learned how to do block printing on linen using a selection of different wood-block designs and produced some really lovely results. Caroline is an extremely good teacher who clearly has a wealth of experience in all sorts of textile arts and she took us through the basics, catering for different levels of expertise, providing guidance where necessary. I had a wonderful day and I can't wait to go back and spend another day there.'
