Ceramics


On this course we explore different ways to decorate fine bone china with water soluble onglaze paints giving a delicate fine feel to the end product. During the course we explore sponge ware and scraffito techniques, on both bone china and bisque ware. The studio has an inspirational collection of 1950's and 60's china for reference and a selection of ceramic books in the library to look at. 

The course includes glaze, equipment, 2 pieces of china, firing and uk postage. 

This course is for students of all abilities, no previous drawing skill is needed. There are lots of exciting ways to decorate ceramics , taking inspiration from natural and everyday objects. Lunch is provided with a vegetarian option, plus tea and coffee during the day. Longer courses are available by arrangement.
